3	Plush	Music at Plush 2010 - Plush 8 at St John's Church, Plush, Dorset DT2 7RJ. The Plush Ensemble weekend is an annual festival highlight. For this concert, a world-class group of musicians come together to perform music from Haydn to Elgar, including Mozart's String Quintet in D. Haydn Sonata for piano in C; Mozart String Quintet in D, K 593; Elgar Piano Quintet in A minor, Op. 84. Tickets: £16.
4	Plush	Music at Plush 2010 - Plush 9 at St John's Church, Plush, Dorset DT2 7RJ. This concert features contrasting pieces ranging from Beethoven to the world premiere of Birtwistle's new work for solo cello. Expect to be challenged and delighted by the group's infectious energy and original interpretations. Liszt Vallee d'Obermann, transcribed for piano trio by the composer; Birtwistle New work for solo cello PREMIERE; Britten 'Elegy', for solo viola; Beethoven 'Ich bin ein schneider Kakadu' variations, for piano trio; Elgar La Capricieuse Op. 17 for violin and piano; Mozart String Quintet in E flat, K 614. 11	Dorset coast	Coast Along for WaterAid. Take part in WaterAid's sponsored walk around the beautiful coast paths of Britain and help provide safe water and effective sanitation to some of the poorest communities in Africa, Asia and the Pacific region. The aim of Coast Along is to have a team of walkers on sections of the National Coast Paths around the UK on the same day. The terrain is varied, each path being between 4 and 15 miles in length and graded from 'easy' to 'severe'! So whether you seek a leisurely weekend break with family or friends, or a more challenging team building exercise, Coast Along has something for everyone. 15	Sturminster Newton	Dorset based physical company Angel Exit Theatre present Moonfleet at The Exchange. A straggling gang of hilarious buffoons are washed up amongst the flotsam onto the wild shores of Chesil Beach, and conspire to spin this yarn of a young orphan boy clashing with both smugglers and excise men in his quest to find Blackbeard's lost treasure. Inspired by the rugged landscape of the Dorset coastline and J Meade Falkner's classic novel Moonfleet, Angel Exit weave together live music, striking physicality, storytelling and puppets to tell a thrilling tale of smuggling, dastardly deeds and wicked escapades.
17-19	Sidmouth-Lyme Bay	Jurassic Coast Trek along the UK's first natural World Heritage site. Over two days, the Jurassic Coast challenge will take you 24 miles along the South West Coast Path, along the breathtaking cliffs whose rocks record 185 million years of the earth's history. Not only is this a great excuse to get fit, but you will make new friends, enjoy a great team spirit and raise crucial funds for Christian Aid's work.
18	Dorchester	'The Art Of Moorcroft' at 50 High East Street, Dorchester, DT1 1HU. Watch demonstrations of the artistry used to create Moorcroft pieces. Peter Harrison of Moorcroft will be giving demonstrations from 12 noon to 3pm. A 10-minute video of the whole production process will also be showing from 10.30am to 5pm. Admission free.
18-19	Wimborne	'Feast of Dorset' at Deans Court, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 1EE. A celebration of West Country produce and entertainment in an enchanted secret garden. Winner of the Independent Magazine's Best UK Food Festival 2009. Cookery theatre, restaurant marquees, 50 producers, artisans, bee keeping, vegetable and herb garden walks and talks, band and camping on Saturday night. Tickets day time £7 (£5 concessions) and Saturday after dark £10 (£5 concessions) with under 14s free.
26	Bridport	Bridport Vintage Market at the Old Albion, St Michaels, Bridport, Dorset DT6 3RR. Come and enjoy the Vintage Market situated within the Art and Vintage Quarter of Bridport on the last Sunday of each month from midday to 4pm. Antique Centre, six shops and lots of stalls for furniture, fabric, flowers and food along with all things vintage.
