Take part in WaterAid's sponsored walk around the beautiful coast paths of Britain and help provide safe water and effective sanitation to some of the poorest communities in Africa, Asia and the Pacific region. The aim of Coast Along is to have a team of walkers on sections of the National Coast Paths around the UK on the same day. The terrain is varied, each path being between 4 and 15 miles in length and graded from 'easy' to 'severe'! A straggling gang of hilarious buffoons are washed up amongst the flotsam onto the wild shores of Chesil Beach, and conspire to spin this yarn of a young orphan boy clashing with both smugglers and excise men in his quest to find Blackbeard's lost treasure. Inspired by the rugged landscape of the Dorset coastline and J Meade Falkner's classic novel Moonfleet, Angel Exit weave together live music, striking physicality, storytelling and puppets to tell a thrilling tale of smuggling, dastardly deeds and wicked escapades. |
| 17-19 | Sidmouth-Lyme Bay | Jurassic Coast Trek along the UK's first natural World Heritage site. Over two days, the Jurassic Coast challenge will take you 24 miles along the South West Coast Path, along the breathtaking cliffs whose rocks record 185 million years of the earth's history. Not only is this a great excuse to get fit, but you will make new friends, enjoy a great team spirit and raise crucial funds for Christian Aid's work. |
