5WeymouthFossil walk from 10am to midday. Meet at the Crab House Cafe behind the Ferrybridge Inn. Wear wellies as it may be muddy.
10-12ChristchurchAladdin is this year's production from the Twynham Panto Group. It is yet another rib-tickling adaptation and the group's 11th annual production. Tickets are £6 for adults, £3.60 for children and are available from the Christchurch Tourist Information Centre and Greetings at 3 Wick Lane, Christchurch. The group is run and presented by friends, family and staff with all proceeds being put back into the school.
11Sturminster Newton'Dorset my Dorset' with Bonny Sartin of The Yetties - a light-hearted look at growing up in Dorset, through poems, songs and reminiscences. Starts at 7.30pm. Tickets £8 from The Exchange.
12WeymouthWalk at Ferrybridge. Meet at the Chesil Beach Centre at 2pm.
26BroadmayneMarket in St Martin's Community Hall, next to the church from 10am until midday.
26WeymouthScavenger hunt - a good excuse to go beachcombing and see what the winter storms have thrown up on the beach. Meet at the Chesil Beach Centre at 2pm. Children £2, adults free.
26ParkstoneThe Alani String Quartet plays Puccini - Crisantemi, Vivaldi - Winter from Four Seasons, Webern - Langsamer Satz and Vaughan Williams - String Quartet in C Minor. Their players are Stefan Defilet and Piotr Kopec (violin), Becca Ware (viola) and Kate Redwood (cello), and they are all local professional musicians playing with groups such as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Wessex Chamber Orchestra and Christchurch Sinfonia. The concert will be held at St Luke's Church in Wellington Road. Tickets £6 adults and £2 children on the door.
26-27WeymouthBig Garden Birdwatch weekend walks at the Radipole Lake RSPB Nature Reserve from 10am until midday.
